One of Epworth’s best loved Christmas events is the annual craft fair held at the town’s Old Rectory and the date for this year’s has just been announced.

It will be taking place on Saturday, November 14, and will run from 10.00am until 3.00pm with a wide selection of homemade crafts that make for the perfect and unique Christmas gifts.

There will be more than 20 stalls at the fair and in addition seasonal refreshments with be available in the refectory at the Old Rectory on Rectory Street.

The building, an accredited museum and a Grade 1 listed building, is famous throughout the world as the childhood home of John and Charles Wesley, the brothers who formed a movement that went on to become the world-wide Methodist Church

“Attractions will include our famous guess the weight of the cake stall and there will be festive decorations around the house,” said the Old Rectory’s manager Gill Crawley.

The entry fee has remained at only £1.00 and children under the age of 12 can still get in for free.
