Waters’ Edge Country Park and Visitor Centre is a free family day out packed with wildlife & nature. Explore 110 acres of our accessible nature reserve, discover how green you are with our interactive educational displays or just chill out by the ponds and feed the ducks. Little ones can burn off energy in one of two outdoor park areas or take part in affordable craft sessions. We have plenty of family friendly events throughout the year to keep all age groups happy. This includes wildlife day, craft fairs, pop up shop and classic car shows.

In the Visitor Centre you will find the gift shop & art gallery which showcases talented local artisans, or you can spot wildlife on our surveillance footage from around the park.

Enjoy quality coffee and the famous cheesecakes from the beardy man, whilst taking in the spectacular views over the main pond at Honey Pot Café located within the centre.

Please note – only guide dogs are allowed in the centre.

Elsham Hall Gardens & Country Park

The park is a perfect place for a family day out. Set in the beautiful lakeside gardens of Elsham Hall, the park offers carp lakes where you can feed the fish, an adventure playground, secret garden, art gallery and the Secret Garden Tea Room . Within contemporary gardens there are aviaries, animal paddocks, a sensory garden and a guinea pig village.

The Pods

Come and spend a relaxing day at the Pods where you can try out the 25m pool or help little ones learn to swim in the teaching pool. Relax and enjoy a coffee and a snack in the café. The 85 station gym and choice of more 50 classes per week are perfect for those who want to work up a sweat. Situated next to Central Park in Scunthorpe, The Pods is the largest sports and fitness facility in North Lincolnshire.

The Hub Café is open:
Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4pm
Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 3.30pm
The Hub serves snacks, sandwiches and paninis, salads, fruit granola pots, jacket potatoes, and cakes. It also serves Lavazza coffee, speciality teas, hot chocolate and soft drinks.

Winters Farm Fishing Lake

Located between Immingham and Barton upon Humber, this 21 acre wild water is a mixed coarse fishery with species such as perch, bream, tench, roach and golden rudd. Stocked in 1958, the water is a long-established family-run fishery set in its own nature reserve. The varied wildlife plus a disused brick and tile kiln adds an extra dimension of interest, alongside rare breed pigs. Car parking and toilets are available. Open 7 days a week for day permits all year round, annual membership available. Please call or text for details.

Shepherds Place Farm

Visit our new petting zoo and rare breeds centre and get up close to llamas and alpacas, rheas and emus, wallabies, deer, goats, pigs and rabbits. There is a play area and bouncy castle for little ones and a café and ice cream parlour with a picnic area for you to enjoy a spot of lunch, fun for all the family.

Open 10am to 5pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday plus Bank Holidays, then 7 days during school holidays.

Pink Pig Farm and Play Barn

Come rain or sun there is plenty of fun at Pink Pig Farm. Meet the animals, take a tractor & trailer ride and enjoy lots of farm themed fun and adventure. New indoor play barn means the fun carries on all year round plus more new outdoor play areas to visit. Piggylicious food available at the Greedy Pig Café.

Normanby Hall Country Park

Normanby Hall Country Park, an idyllic estate set in the heart of North Lincolnshire. FunForest

FunForest is situated in the historic market town of Brigg. Created for children aged 11 and under and featuring a huge four level soft play frame including slides, sports area and separate baby and toddler area. We provide Toddler Time each school day Monday-Friday 9.30am – 3.00pm where you are able to relax with a FREE Tea or Coffee whilst your children enjoy a run around. Why not join us for a Play and Eat session after school 3.00pm-5.30pm. The perfect place for the kids to play whilst you enjoy homemade food made fresh to order. FunForest is an excellent, hassle free choice for your child’s birthday party, it includes plenty of time to play and a hot or cold buffet served in the party room. The Ropewalk

The Ropewalk is a regionally acclaimed centre for the arts that opened in 2000. It houses galleries, Sculpture Garden, the Ropewalk Museum, Ropery Coffee Shop, and Ropery Hall – a venue for live music, theatre and cinema. Previously a rope factory, The Ropewalk quickly achieved regional acclaim with its constantly changing regional and national exhibitions in the four galleries of this Grade II listed building which stretches for a quarter of a mile towards the Humber bank.
