Brick by Brick at 20-21 Visual Arts Centre from Saturday 5 October to 4 January 2020

International LEGO® Brick Art

20-21 is proud to host the brand new touring exhibition Brick by Brick which gathers the work of more than 15 artists, designers and photographers from around the world who use LEGO® bricks as their medium or inspiration. Using this simple plastic construction block as their starting point, they have created stunning, thought provoking and often humorous artworks which will appeal to art enthusiasts and LEGO® fans alike.


Artists represented include internationally renowned artist Michael Brennand-Wood has created four stunning artworks especially for this exhibition. Using a range of colours, shapes and sizes of bricks, Michael has created a series of abstract montages which have a mesmerising appeal to them.

Other artists represented in the exhibition are:

  • Brazilian photographer Valentino Fialdini
  • ‘The Little Artists’ (John Cake and Darren Neave)
  • ‘Little Big Art’ (Cardiff based artist/designer Andy Morris)
  • David Hughes
  • American born artist Janet Curley Cannon
  • Samsofy (French photographer Sofiane Samlal).

This family friendly exhibition includes a whole range of opportunities for visitors to get creative with construction bricks and will include a LEGO® wall. There will be a range of events and workshops, throughout the course of the exhibition, with guest LEGO® specialists sharing their expertise.
