Waters’ Edge Country Park and Visitor Centre is a free family day out packed with wildlife & nature. Explore 110 acres of our accessible nature reserve, discover how green you are with our interactive educational displays or just chill out by the ponds and feed the ducks. Little ones can burn off energy in one of two outdoor park areas or take part in affordable craft sessions. We have plenty of family friendly events throughout the year to keep all age groups happy. This includes wildlife day, craft fairs, pop up shop and classic car shows.
In the Visitor Centre you will find the gift shop & art gallery which showcases talented local artisans, or you can spot wildlife on our surveillance footage from around the park.
Enjoy quality coffee and the famous cheesecakes from the beardy man, whilst taking in the spectacular views over the main pond at Honey Pot Café located within the centre.
Please note – only guide dogs are allowed in the centre.

Established nearly 50 years ago, based in Kirton in Lindsey, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, we are proud to call ourselves a traditional British garden centre and house one of the largest selections of home-grown plants in the area. Dogs are welcome! Free ample parking.

The walled garden at Scawby Hall offers a glimpse of what an original Victorian walled garden was like in the 1860s. The fruit and vegetables grown today are available for sale through the shop. Availability depends on the season and includes mulberries, figs and locally produced honey. A selection of plants and shrubs are also for sale. The garden also features a lavender maze and a giant chequerboard of grasses and plants. Usually open weekdays 9am-4pm. The park is a perfect place for a family day out. Set in the beautiful lakeside gardens of Elsham Hall, the park offers carp lakes where you can feed the fish, an adventure playground, secret garden, art gallery and the Secret Garden Tea Room . Within contemporary gardens there are aviaries, animal paddocks, a sensory garden and a guinea pig village.

A superb course set in 117 acres of mature woodland and parkland which provides challenging play for members, green fee players and societies alike. This beautiful 18 hole, par 72 course is widely considered to be one of the best municipal courses in the country, and offers excellent value for money along with greens of a quality you’ll find hard to match anywhere. The comfortable fully licensed clubhouse, with its stunning views of the course, offers both a warm welcome and an impressive range of snacks and restaurant meals.
Spread over 90 acres with 60 acres of water, Lindholme Lakes is the north’s finest 500+ peg fishery. Well stocked with barbel, bream, carp, trout and more, you’re guaranteed a good days fishing whether you are an experienced angler or just beginning. Each of the lakes have their own character from the flagship ‘Bonsai Lake’ stocked with 15 tonnes of fish, to the smaller pleasure lakes. You can find a huge range of Garbolino tackle and bait for sale and the site has a 150 seater café, licende bar, shower rooms and disabled toilets.
Come and spend a relaxing day at the Pods where you can try out the 25m pool or help little ones learn to swim in the teaching pool. Relax and enjoy a coffee and a snack in the café. The 85 station gym and choice of more 50 classes per week are perfect for those who want to work up a sweat. Situated next to Central Park in Scunthorpe, The Pods is the largest sports and fitness facility in North Lincolnshire.

Hunters Lodge Fishery offers three specimen carp lakes stocked with carp 30lb+. We also offer one well stocked silver fish lake. All lakes can be fished 24 hours and are set in outstanding countryside and peaceful surroundings. Toilets, including disabled, are available on site. We have a well stocked bait and tackle shop and a café, both open 7 days a week. The café offers hot and cold drinks and food, including Italian coffee and home baking.
