You can – and here in North Lincolnshire too! Skydive Hibaldstow offers you the chance to skydive from up to 15,000 feet, which is the highest in the country! After your briefing, you will make the jump securely attached to one of our highly experienced instructors and free-fall at 120mph for up to a minute! The instructor opens the parachute about a mile above the ground and you fly back to the drop zone over the beautiful North Lincolnshire countryside. The most exhilarating experience for miles! Our 27 hole golf course is a challenge for even lower handicapped golfers. Winding through majestic pines and undulating heath land, the course is so picturesque you might struggle with your swing! After a round of golf, ease those aching muscles with a dip in the pool or a relaxing treatment in our spa, or call for a bite to eat and have a drink in the Pines Bar.
Located between Immingham and Barton upon Humber, this 21 acre wild water is a mixed coarse fishery with species such as perch, bream, tench, roach and golden rudd. Stocked in 1958, the water is a long-established family-run fishery set in its own nature reserve. The varied wildlife plus a disused brick and tile kiln adds an extra dimension of interest, alongside rare breed pigs. Car parking and toilets are available. Situated just to the north of Scunthorpe, the farm is part of the ‘Higher Level Environment Scheme’. It offers ‘open access’ to walkers on the hillside grassland, along with access routes around arable fields. It provides good views of the Trent Valley and hosts a variety of measures to encourage a diverse flora and fauna. Pre-booked group and school visits are also available; for these, refreshments can be provided, along with the use of the full range of facilities at the ‘Fenestra Conference Centre’, which is also to be found on the farm. The centre is suitable for a wide range of uses and activities.
In a superb natural setting, where the rivers Trent and Ouse join to form the Humber, Alkborough Flats is an exciting project, which helps prevent thousands of homes from flooding. The site is perfect for lovers of wildlife. By breaching the river defences new habitats have been created which are a haven for wading birds and wildfowl, making the site an ideal area for bird watching and leisurely walks. Limited accessibility on some footpaths.
Thousands of wintering waterbirds can be seen at Alkborough Flats and include significant numbers of golden plover, lapwing, ruff, black-tailed godwit, curlew, redshank, avocet, shelduck, teal, wigeon. Other frequent sightings include marsh harrier, little egret, spoonbill, bearded tit. Mammals include otter, water vole, brown hare and several species of bat.

Visit Britain’s largest collection of trolleybuses. Take a nostalgic ride on one and look around the 1950/60s exhibitions and shop window displays. Open selected weekends throughout the year – between early April and early November.

St Andrew’s Parish Church has been at the heart of Epworth life for around 800 years. Overlooking the town it provides an ideal base from which to explore the built and cultural history of Epworth. Both the church and the town have strong connections to the Wesley family; the Reverend Samuel Wesley was rector here from 1695 to 1735. His sons were born and brought up in Epworth. 2pm-4pm daily March to October (Other times by arrangement).
