A fun, hands-on workshop inspired by the Scunthorpe Bear Sculpture Trail.
Families will work together to create woodlands animals and habitats using natural and recycled materials before bringing their creations to life through a collaborative stop-motion animation. Suitable for children KS1/ KS2, no previous experience needed.
Combining art. Storytelling, education and digital creativity, participants will create their own miniature woodland adventures and contribute to a collaborative stop-motion animation celebrating the wildlife found in British woodlands.
The day will begin at Scunthorpe Central Library where participants ill discover fascinating facts about woodland animals and create their own animal character which can be taken home at the end of the day. In the afternoon the workshop moves to 20-21 Visual Arts Centre where families will learn simple stop motion animation techniques using smartphones and animate their character into a collaborative story.
