Visit the Victorians with North Lincolnshire Museum. Handle toys from their object boxes and see what entertained children (and some adults) centuries gone by. Pick up a leaflet and you can plan your activities and days out to the Museum. Check out the Schools Out brochure, it is full of free half term activities for the whole family.

Find out more about Normanby Hall Country Park and their new facilities. The woodlands paths, changing places facility and adapted bicycles have made the park more accessible than ever. New and exciting for 2015 is the Splashpad, sure to keep the children entertained during the warmer summer months.

It’s shopping galore in the marquee this year with Scunthorpe Shopping Centres showcasing the best of the town’s retail experience. The Foundry, The Parishes and The View will all be attending along with Brigg Town Partnership who will offer a glimpse of what Brigg has to offer, especially its independent retailers.

Today see’s the start of Love Your Local Market fortnight the national campaign is a celebration of our market culture here in the UK that happens over a fortnight in May.

Markets have a long-standing place in the towns, cities and villages as the cornerstone of every major settlement throughout our history, with people bringing in goods to trade from surrounding settlements in order to feed themselves.  Market day still holds a special place in the hearts of people from all walks of life, as a place to shop but also to socialise, meet up with acquaintances and catch up on some gossip.

North Lincolnshire Council and Market Traders from all of our markets are proud to support the campaign by providing a number of special offers during the two weeks of the campaign for new traders and our visitors. Offers range from money off vouchers to a one off chance of a stall for two weeks for £10 at Scunthorpe Market.

On Saturday 23 May our information bus will be outside Primark in Scunthorpe Town Centre. Come along and find out what will be happening during Love Your Local Market fortnight with money off vouchers and much more, be sure not to miss out.

Brigg Market – Thursday and Saturday 9am – 4pm

Brigg Farmers’ Market – Fourth Saturday of the month 9am – 1pm

Scunthorpe Market – The Food Hall is open 6 days a week. 8am – 5pm, The Old Hall is open Friday & Saturday only 9am – 5pm
