Todd Day Wait is one of the last real American Workhorse, pedal to the metal, Troubadours by way of Missouri, to California, to New Orleans and now Nashville.
The Ropewalk is a regionally acclaimed arts centre housed in a Grade II-listed former ropery. It offers four gallery spaces, a sculpture garden, artist studios, and the Ropewalk Museum, which explores the site’s industrial heritage.
Visitors can enjoy exhibitions, workshops, and live performances at Ropery Hall — a venue for music, theatre, comedy, and film. The Ropery Coffee Shop serves freshly prepared meals and drinks in a relaxed setting.
Facilities include accessible toilets, baby change, meeting rooms, and a craft gallery shop featuring ceramics, prints, and heritage gifts from local makers.
Admission is free, and the centre is open six days a week. It’s a five-minute walk from Barton Transport Interchange and fully wheelchair accessible.
