About The Attis Arena

The Attis Arena is the proud home of Scunthorpe United, offering fans a welcoming and atmospheric setting that blends decades of football heritage with a modern matchday experience. Originally opened in 1988 as Glanford Park, the stadium made history as the first new, purpose‑built Football League ground to be constructed in England since 1955, marking a major milestone for the club and its supporters. In January 2024, the venue was officially renamed The Attis Arena following a sponsorship agreement, giving the stadium a fresh identity while preserving its deep‑rooted connection to the local community.

Located in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, the arena has long served as a focal point for fans, families, and the wider area. Its design features four traditional stands surrounding the pitch, creating an intimate setting where supporters feel close to the action. With a capacity of just over 9,000, the stadium offers a lively and authentic football atmosphere, hosting everything from league fixtures to memorable cup ties that continue to shape the club’s history.

More than just a sports venue, The Attis Arena remains a symbol of local pride and resilience—an enduring home for generations of Iron supporters. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning to relive the excitement of matchday, the stadium provides a warm, community‑centred experience at the heart of Scunthorpe United’s identity.
