Explore foodie heaven at the Waterside Food Festival!

The Ropewalk in Barton upon Humber proudly hosts the festival in its 3rd year and this year promises to be a real food fiesta. Traders from near and far will arrive Sunday morning to showcase the best of their produce. A variety of produce will be available from sweets, speciality chocolates and fluffy cakes to gourmet fishcakes, local cheeses and bountifully filled pies.

This year activities include cookery demonstrations by local and well known chef Nigel Brown and why not join in the fun and have ago at biscuit decorating? There will be lots do, see, taste and take home at 2015’s Waterside Food Festival

The festival starts at 10am until 4pm with free car parking available at the stunning Waters’ Edge Visitor Centre.

Also featuring this weekend is the This Girl Can in association with Normanby Hall Women’s 5k run.

The popular women’s 5k run at Normanby Hall is returning alongside the This Girl Can event. If you haven’t already booked on, it’s not too late. Book your place on the Metres to Miles website or call them on 01427 872323. If you aren’t a fan of running, then pop along to the event and find out what other sports activities are on offer for women and girls throughout North Lincolnshire. You can join in a range of activities from netball and skipping to boxing and dancing. There will be something for everyone no matter what your fitness levels or experiences are.
