Enjoy exploring a variety of beautiful flowers & colourful plants at one of North Lincolnshire’s fragrant Open Gardens.

Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June

Wheelbarrow and Open Gardens Weekend @ Barrow upon Humber 

From 11am. Children’s entertainment – Saturday 2 to 4pm, Barrow band Sunday 2pm to 4pm in Market Place. For further information contact 01469 531280.

Sunday 12 June

National Garden Scheme – Open Gardens
11am – 5 pm. 3, 6 and 8 Westcote Farm, Wold Road, Barrow, DN19 7DY. Adults £3.50, accompanied children free. Homemade teas.

Cadney and Howsham Open Gardens
11am – 5pm. Around 10 gardens featuring red, white and blue planting to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday. £3.50 in aid of Lindsey Lodge Hospice, Howsham Village Hall, Cadney Church and local LIVES group. Free minibus between villages, park in Howsham. Free duck treasure trail and traditional games, floral displays at Cadney church.

Friday 17 June

Kirton Open Gardens
1pm-4pm Quinneys, 1 Dunstan Hill, DN21 4DU and 1 North Cliff, DN21 4NJ – £3 in aid of Lindsey Lodge Hospice. Tea and plant sale at Quinneys.

Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 June

Open Garden @ 21 Kingfisher Way, Scunthorpe
5.30 to 8.30pm – Enjoy this pretty garden on a warm summers evening, with undercover seating, £2.50.

Sunday 26 June

Hibaldstow Open Gardens and Scarecrow Day
10am to 5pm – Around 10 gardens open, with about 40 scarecrows! Displays in St Hybald’s Church. Refreshments in Village Hall and Church Hall. £3, accompanied children free, proceeds to local charities. Free minibus round village. Spitfire flypast (weather permitting) Classic cars on display at Village Hall. 01652 656875.

Alkborough Open Gardens @ Front Street,  DN15 9JW
11am to 4pm – Five beautiful gardens on the same road, £3 in aid of Lindsey Lodge Hospice.

Luddington / Ealand Open Gardens 
1pm – 4pm –  The Ruddings, 185 Eastfield Road, DN17 4RE and Crane House, Main St, Ealand, DN17 4JG. £3 in aid of Lindsey Lodge Hospice.

Later in August, Normanby Hall Country Park is hosting a RHS recommended event  ‘Looking after your Fruit Garden’

Join us for a day of instruction by Hilary Dobson as she looks at how to look after your fruit garden and keep it in tip top condition. With practical sessions please bring waterproof clothing and secateurs. Please call us to book your place in advance.
