Find a town and discover a hidden gem. A great choice of independent shops and traditional street markets – from fashion to food festivals you will be spoilt for choice. Venture into Epworth, Brigg or Barton upon Humber. Browse and shop in their quaint boutiques, antique shops and quirky stores to find those one of trendy pieces no-one else will have.

Epworth
A visitor hot spot in the Isle of Axholme is Epworth.The centre for culture and heritage, Epworth is rich in traditions and history. Lining the pretty centreĀ are quaint shops and places to eat all worth visiting. You can explore St Andrew’s Church or Epworth Old Rectory and learn all about the founders of world Methodism, the Wesleys.

Brigg

Brigg is definitely best for independent shopping and has one of the best farmers’ market in Lincolnshire. The snug courts and yards have the most unusual shops. From finding those special one-off pieces to wedding attire Brigg has it all. With lots of places to stay and eat Brigg really is the quintessential market town.

You can explore the River and Ancholme and the rest of the Ancholme Valley by following the Ancholme Valley Way. The path takes you from Brigg all the way to South Ferriby (10 miles) . You can enjoy the path either by foot or cycle (cycleway still under construction from Broughton to South Ferriby)and is the perfect way to enjoy the riverbank’s beautiful wildlife and diverse landscape.

Scunthorpe

Scunthorpe is a busy town and cultural hub of North Lincolnshire. Shopping in Scunthorpe you can find all your big brand names and the North Lincolnshire Shopping Park welcomes visitors straight off the M180.

There is plenty to do whilst your here! In the centre of the town you can visit amazing attractions such as 20-21 Visual Arts Centre, North Lincolnshire Museum, The Pods or a quick drive to nearby Normanby Hall Country Park.

Barton upon Humber

Barton upon Humber is home to many of North Lincolnshire’s much loved attractions. The historic streets are lined with Georgian properties home to lots of bustling shops and helpful stores.

Explore The Ropewalk, St Peter’s Church, Wilderspin National School or Waters’ Edge Country Park & Visitor Centre.

Not 10 minutes from Barton upon Humber, near the village of Ulceby you can visit Thornton Abbey & Gatehouse. An impressive gatehouse and abbey ruins which housed the 12th Century Augustinian monastery.
