Local produce and gardens A well tendered garden

Once you have tasted the local produce of North Lincolnshire, you'll keep coming back for more. Our fertile soils, gentle climate and fresh country air produce one of nature's richest harvests.

A good place to start exploring is our award winning Farmers' Market in Brigg, held on the 4th Saturday of the month. Producers come from around the region, selling speciality foods, free-range meats and organic breads, vegetables and herbs.

If gardens are your passion, make sure you pay a visit to the Victorian walled garden at Normanby Hall. The heady perfume is unbeatable on a summer's afternoon and there's a plant nursery to help you recreate the setting at home.

A day out wouldn't be the same without an ice cream and where better than at Sargent's Ice Cream Parlour at Hibaldstow. A play area and a great selection of dairy ice creams, make this a winner with the children.
